Marlins English Language Test for Seafarers About the exam
Maritime English Center is an Marlins Approved Test Centre for both tests written Marlins English Tests (computer-based) and Marlins Test of Spoken English (TOSE). A certificate of such a test is accepted as proof of English language competence.
What is the ICS Marlins English Language Test for Seafarers?
The ICS Marlins English Language Test for Seafarers allows ship operators to demonstrate that seafarers, of any nationality, have been assessed on their ability to communicate in English - a necessity that has been further emphasised by the ISM Code and the STCW Convention. The Marlins test examines seafarers' oral and written language skills.
